Some wonderful Designs for the Holidays!

I recently completed these mirrors and I can't wait for someone to enjoy them in their home! I used a couple different techniques; the first mirror was created using a glass etching process; the next three were done with an Eglomise process wherein I adorned all of the design elements from the back of the mirror.  Each frame was customized to enhance the colors and patterns of the mirrors.

This Églomisé mirror is turning out great!  I'll post some pics of the finished product later in the week, but I love this design and how it's turning out, so I couldn't wait.

These mirrors are my passion!  All of the work is done on the reverse of the mirror and then sealed to produce truly incredible effects.  I use these mirrors as centerpiece items, almost in the same way I would present an oil painting.

Terra-cotta Glaze Finish with Mettallic Foil Raised Stencil Embellishments

To accentuate the beautiful art niche, I created this finish with multiple colors, Mettallic foils and glazes. Originally, this wall was rather drab and did not draw your attention upon entering this home.  Now, this entry wall has color and life.

Working on some fun projects!

A really sweet client wanted me to turn some old vintage pieces of furniture she had into new, more airy versions.  She also wanted them to have a Scandinavian look to them.  The results were great and I really loved working on them!

Antique Mirror with a Rose Gold Gilding

This antique mirror was finished in a beautiful bright red then gilded with copper leaf composition to give it this elegant "Rose Gold" gilded look.  The solid wood mirror was carved with great scroll work along the top and sides.  I love the older pieces that really accentuate the time and effort people put into creating these works of art!  I have it staged as a coffee table display, but it will look just as wonderful hung up on the wall.  Love you guys! God Bless.

How to Dazzle an Art Niche

Many people have these little "art niches" around their homes, and, inevitably, we just look for some nick knack that fits the shape and size to slide into it.  I believe an "art" niche should incorporate just that....art.  So, in this art niche at our house, I decided to bring together many different elements.  I started with a stencil, then added layers of metallic foils.  Finally, I went back and gave the stencil some depth by adding some texture to the design.  This niche went from "just there" to "look at me!!!!".  This idea can be done in a number of different tones, shades and colors. Let me know if you'd like to give it a try or you have great ideas to share with me!!

Queen Anne Style Dining Set

This beautiful dining set comes with six newly upholstered chairs.  Two arm chairs and four side chairs.  The table, which comes with two leafs, has a deep cherry wood finish.  The leafs are customized with a French Script poem that adds a dramatic flair to the set.  The upholstery for the dining chairs was chosen specifically to match and complement the customized leafs.

Summer Fun!

Some people like to lay out and get a tan, others swim and boat.  Me?  I like to break out the air compressor and stapler, some cool new upholstery and bring it all together in the workshop! God Bless y'all!!

I think these are some great looks for an art niche or an accent wall! Can really spice up the area.
